Back to Visions

Living out most of his childhood from a small town in the Philippines, August Avendano has since moved to the Greater Los Angeles Area to pursue his love for motion design, art direction, and visual storytelling. In his personal time, he enjoys music, gaming, collecting, and consuming a lot of media.

What does your Visions logo mean to you?

August’s logo represents his love for technology, digital space, the retro, and the future.

When did you know you wanted to study graphic design?

As a kid, I always photoshopped my friends and other people to make them look silly or horrific as a part of my own messed up digital art. I would create these images for hours and hours and enjoyed every second of it. Gradually, my interests in digital art slowly evolved and led me to my discovery of graphic design.

What is the dream project for you?

Making my own film or TV series would be amazing. I would also love to design either a title or end credits sequence for a big film such as with Marvel Studios one day.

Outside of graphic design, what do you enjoy doing?

Playing music, building model kits, feeding my tarantulas, playing a lot of video games, and watching a lot of films, TV shows, and conspiracy YouTube videos.
